October 29 - November 9, 2008 Day 1: Depart. In flight

Day 2:
Arrive in Venice. Travel to Murano. In flight meals.
Day 3: Begin
in Venice with excursion to St. Mark's Square, including a cruise along the Canale Grande.
View the Bell Tower and St. Mark's Cathedral. Explore the Rialto Bridge.
Day 4:
Journey to Tuscany. Stay for 4 nights in Montecatini Terme. Sightseeing includes the
Leaning Tower of Pisa and Lucca.
Day 5: Drive
to Ligurian Sea. Excursion to the Cinque Terra and Lover's Lane.
Day 6: Visit
San Gimignano, Siena. Guided tour of Piazza del Campo, Duomo.
Day 7:
Entire day devoted to Florence including the American Cemetery of Florence, Duomo and the
famed Baptistry, Giotto's Tower, the Pitti Palace, the Accademia. Explore the San Lorenzo
leather Market and Ponte Vecchio.
Day 8: Enter
the region of Umbria into the town of Assisi. Guided tour of the Basilica di San
Francesco.
Day 9: Drive
to Pompeii. Guided tour through the ruins.
Day 10:
Continue sightseeing Rome. Visit the Capitoline Hill, Roman Forum, Colosseum, Trevi
Fountain, Spanish Steps.
Day 11:
Visit the Vatican City, St. Peter's Cathedral, Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel. Farewell
dinner at a Rome restaurant.
Day 12:
Return. In flight meals.
