DAY 1 We're
Michigan-bound today as we stop for an included coffee and roll break in western
Wisconsin. We'll continue east, making a lunch stop (on your own) and an afternoon
break on the way to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and the city of Manistique. After we
check into our hotel overlooking Lake Michigan you'll be free to have dinner on your own.
DAY 2 An
included breakfast starts the morning, then we'll continue east to Tahquamenon Falls,
enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Upper Peninsula. After taking in the falls,
we'll head to Whitefish Point to visit the 1849 Lighthouse Station and the Shipwreck
Museum, where you'll see an underwater film of the Edmund Fitzgerald as she lies on the
bottom of Lake Superior. We'll stop for lunch on your own, then arrive mid-afternoon
at our hotel in St. Ignace, Michigan for our 2-night stay. Out hotel overlooks the
Straits of Mackinac, which connect Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. This evening we'll
enjoy an included outdoor barbeque dinner overlooking the water.

DAY 3 An included breakfast will be enjoyed by all, then
we'll board the ferry to Mackinac Island. We'll enjoy a horse-drawn carriage tour of this
spectacular island, followed by a memorable lunch at the Grand Hotel. There will be time
to browse the shops on Market Street before our ferry returns us to St. Ignace. The
evening will be free to relax at the hotel and enjoy the view, or take an optional visit
to the Kewadin Casino just down the road from the hotel.

DAY 4 After
an included breakfast, well cross "Mighty Mac," the 5-mile long suspension
bridge that connects St. Ignace to Mackinaw City. We'll then head south along the
coastline of Lake Michigan through the city of Petoskey, viewing some of the wonderful
homes along the lake, to Traverse City, the "Cherry Capital of the World."
When we arrive we'll stop for lunch (on your own), then enjoy a guided tour and some time
for shopping. Later we'll head to the Little River Casino in Manistee overlooking
Lake Michigan for our overnight, where you'll be free to relax, enjoy dinner on your own,
and try your luck at the casino.

DAY 5 Included breakfast starts the morning and then we're
off to board the USS Badger for the four-hour crossing of Lake Michigan to
Manitowoc, Wisconsin. There will be food and entertainment available on the ferry so
you will be able to sit back, relax and enjoy the crossing. Upon arrival we'll stop
for a lunch break (on your own) followed by a tour of the Maritime Museum, depicting the
history of Great Lakes shipping. Our overnight will be in this scenic port city
overlooking Lake Michigan. After time to refresh we'll enjoy an included Farewell
Dinner.
 
DAY 6 After
an included breakfast, we'll start back to the Twin Cities. We should arrive home
late this afternoon filled with wonderful memories of our Michigan tour.
