DAY 1  We’ll stop for our included morning break as we enter Wisconsin on the way to our wonderful spring tour of the South.  Our travels take us across Wisconsin and into Illinois for our overnight in Champaign.  This evening we’ll enjoy a welcome dinner. 


DAY 2  Breakfast is included this morning, then we’re off across Illinois and Kentucky to the “Country Music Capital  of the World,” Nashville, TN. We’ll have time to explore the historic Second Avenue area and visit the Wildhorse Saloon before we check into our hotel for the night. 


DAY 3  Following our included breakfast we’ll head south to Chattanooga and on into Georgia. This afternoon we’ll arrive in Atlanta and meet our guide for our tour, including Cyclorama (the story of the battle of Atlanta during the Civil War) and Coca Cola World. Later we’ll check into our hotel for the night with the evening free to have dinner on your own.


DAY 4  Our day starts with included breakfast, then we’re off for Macon’s wonderful Cherry Blossom Festival. Macon has over 200,000 Yoshino Cherry Trees and they should be in full bloom! We’ll enjoy a guided tour including Woodruff House, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and miles of beautiful cherry trees. Later we’ll check into our hotel for the next 2 nights and have time to unpack and refresh. This evening we’ll enjoy included dinner, and then take in the first of our Cherry Blossom Festival activities.


DAY 5  After included breakfast the coach will be available for shuttles to church. Later this morning we’ll visit Central Park for time to browse the booths and get some lunch on your own. This afternoon we’ll take our reserved seats for the Grand Cherry Blossom Parade. Then we’ll return to our hotel for time to refresh and have dinner on your own before we step out for one of the festival  musical shows.

DAY 6  As our luggage is loaded on the coach we’ll enjoy included breakfast. Our destination today is the historic city of Savannah. Upon arrival we’ll have time to have lunch (on your own) and explore the Historic District, then we’ll pick up our local guide and sit back and enjoy our tour. Afterwards, we’ll continue north along the coast to Hilton Head Island and check into our hotel for the night.


DAY 7  This morning we’ll continue north along the coastline to Charleston, South Carolina. Upon arrival we’ll visit Middleton Place Gardens to view all the beautiful spring flowers, then visit the Historic District for time to browse the shops and have lunch (on your own). This afternoon we’ll enjoy a guided tour then check into our hotel for the night. After time to refresh we’ll enjoy our included evening dinner cruise with entertainment around the harbor and past Fort Sumter.

DAY 8  After our included breakfast we’ll head west for the Smoky Mountains and Asheville, North Carolina. This afternoon we’ll visit the 250-room Biltmore Mansion, with its wonderful gardens and winery. Later we’ll check into our hotel for the night. 


DAY 9  Following breakfast (on your own) we’ll head across the Smoky Mountains and Tennessee to Lexington, Kentucky, where we’ll enjoy a guided tour of the “Horse Capital of the World.” You will be amazed at the number of beautiful horse farms around Lexington -- we’ll stop to visit one during our tour, so you can hear all about the life and training of a thoroughbred horse. We’ll then check into our hotel for the night.

DAY 10  Breakfast will be included, then we’ll then head north around Cincinnati and into Indiana. We’ll stop in Indianapolis for lunch (on your own) and to visit the Indy 500 Racetrack, then continue on to our overnight in the Chicago area. This evening we’ll enjoy a farewell dinner.

DAY 11  Breakfast is included, then we’re off across Wisconsin and back to the Twin Cities. We should arrive back home late this afternoon.
