DAY 1  This morning we'll board our deluxe motorcoach and head south, stopping for our included coffee and roll break before heading into Iowa.  We'll stop in Des Moines for lunch (on your own), then continue on  into Missouri, through Kansas City, to our overnight in Topeka, Kansas.  This evening we'll enjoy our included Welcome Dinner and meet our fellow passengers.


DAY
2  An included breakfast starts our day, then we're off across Kansas, stopping to visit the beautiful Cathedral of the Plains, constructed in 1908.  This afternoon our travels will take us into Colorado and to Colorado Springs for our 2-night stay.

DAY 3  Following an included breakfast, we'll head south to Canyon City to visit the Royal Gorge Suspension Bridge Park with admission to all attractions included. This afternoon we'll return to Colorado Springs and drive through the beautiful Garden of the Gods, where we'll make a photo stop and visit the Trading Post.  Then we'll visit the United States Air Force Academy on the way back to our hotel.  After time to freshen up we'll head out for a wonderful Chuckwagon Supper and Western Show at the Flying "W" Ranch.

DAY 4  An included breakfast will be enjoyed by all, then we're off to visit the historic old mining town of Cripple Creek.  First, we'll ride the Cripple Creek Narrow Gauge Railroad to hear the stories of the area's glory years, then you'll have time to browse the downtown area, and maybe visit one of the casinos for which the town is now known.  We'll then head west, stopping for lunch (on your own) on the way to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, America's newest National Park.  You'll be amazed at the sheer walls of this canyon.  Later, we'll stop for an afternoon break on the way to our overnight in Grand Junction.


DAY 5  Following included breakfast we'll head east across the beautiful Rocky Mountains to the resort town of Vail.  We will stop here for a break, then continue across Loveland Pass and through the Eisenhower Tunnel.  We'll stop for lunch (on your own) and then head north to beautiful Grand Lake and on to Trail Ridge Road.  Here we'll travel into the spectacular Rocky Mountain National Park.  We'll stop at the Alpine Visitors Center and Gift Shop for a break and some great views.  Later we'll drive through the resort city of Estes Park prior to heading into the Denver area and checking into our hotel for the next 2 nights.  The remainder of the evening will be free to relax and have dinner on your own.


 

DAY 6  This morning following included breakfast we'll head out for our guided tour of the Denver area.  Highlights will include Red Rocks Park, Buffalo Bill's grave, the historic district, Molly Brown House and much more.  Later, we'll go to the Central City/Blackhawk area for some gaming fun.  On the way back to our hotel we'll make one more stop to tour the Coors Brewery.  The evening will be free to relax and have dinner on your own.


DAY 7  As our luggage is loaded on the coach, we'll enjoy an included breakfast and then head east across Colorado and into Nebraska.  We'll stop at the world-famous Ole's Restaurant for lunch (on your own).  Later, we'll visit the "Great Platte River Road Archway Memorial," a wonderful museum that stands 8 stories tall and spans the I-80 interstate.  You'll learn about the wagon train pioneers who traveled this route. Our overnight will be in York, where we'll enjoy an included Farewell Dinner.

DAY 8  This morning we'll continue east into Iowa, stopping in Des Moines for lunch (on your own).  We should arrive back in the Twin Cities early this evening with fond memories of the scenic and spectacular beauty of Colorado and the Rocky Mountains.
